About

DJ Oyano Zar is a South African-born artist and radio presenter, currently a DJ at Conical Tower Radio. She's a fan of compiling music and creating playlists that speak to specific moments — known variously as "The Party Bus Conductor", "Your Plug's Plug" and "Umenzi weThings". Born in eMdantsane, East London in the Eastern Cape, she's now based in Pretoria. "I'm a firm believer that music can unite worst enemies and turn them into allies. Music can turn bitter situations into joyful experiences. My duty as a radio presenter and DJ is to be the voice of reason, the entertainment, and an ally."
